Moti Horenstein's Hisardut Krav-Maga

Krav Maga was introduced to civilians by one of the most respected Israeli instructors of Israeli Military Close Quarter Combat, Imi Lichtenfield, during the 1940s to 1950s.

World Survival Hisardut-Krav Maga was Founded by Moti Horenstein during the mid-1990s. Grand Master Hanshi Moti studied Hisardut directly under Grandmaster Dennis Hanover. In addition, Horenstein was also a student of the legendary Mas Oyama in Kyokushinkai full contact Karate (A.K.A Oyama Karate). Grand Master Hanshi Moti Horenstein has earned his black belt in Jiu-Jitsu under the Valente Brothers Helio Gracie Jiu-Jitsu style.

Combining the most effective techniques from these styles of martial arts, Grand Master Hanshi Moti incorporated Oyama karate with modern Muay Thai Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu and blended it into a modified form of Hisardut (Survival), known today as Moti Horenstein’s Hisardut Krav-Maga.

Survival Hisardut defenses are intended to inflict or divert the most pain possible on the opponent. Groin strikes, head-butts, and other efficient and potentially brutal attacks are emphasized, as well as gentle, safe and controlled defense.

In our Miami Beach, Florida, Survival Hisardut Based Krav Maga Training Program, we teach our students how to:

  • Avoid injury
  • Instantly go from a defensive to an offensive (attacking) state
  • Use the body’s natural reflexes to easily perform more advanced techniques
  • Effectively strike vulnerable points on the body
  • Use any tool or object nearby as a weapon or means of escape
